Salt Crystals Dead Sea
Drive from Amman 60kms Southeast to the area Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth at 427m below sea level. Its one of the worlds saltiest bodies of water in the world-9.6X as salty as an ocean. Drive along the sea to reach the dead sea salt crystals area to enjoy the rich array of natural formation of salt crystals at the dead sea shore - some formations are natural work of art.
Jordan Rift Valley
Continue driving through the Jordan Rift valley. The Jordan Rift is a linear shaped lowland where earth tectonic plates move apart or rift. The Rift Valley is approximately is 7000kms long runs from Lebanon to Kenya. On the way visit some local farms to enjoy local fruits and vegetables.
Lot's Cave
Drive further to visit Lot's Cave near the village of Safi which is the location of a Monastery, a bezantine basilica from the 7th century A.D. and the cave of Lot. The entrance to the cave is directly behind the basilica. A stone bearing the inscription "St. Lot" which was found during excavations and is evidence for the localization of Lot's cave in antiquity.
Lowest Point on Earth Museum
Continue to visit the lowest point on earth museum. It is located 405m below sea level, The museum has a wide range of artifacts on display presented chronologically from prehistory to Nabataean, Byzantine and Islamic times. Things you won't see anywhere else include a Nabataean burial, material associated with Lot's Cave, painted gravestones which feature the days of the week, and a bronze cauldron used to boil sugar in Medieval times.
Drive back to Amman at the end of the tour for drop off
