The nine major themes elaborated on are the environment, food production and processing, visual art and architecture, cultural exchange and trade, politics and the military, communication and writing, industry, religion, and daily domestic life in Jordan throughout the ages.
Royal Automobile Museum
The Royal Automobile Museum is the first public automotive museum in the Arab region. Inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II in 2003, it serves as a tribute to the late King Hussein while showcasing part of Jordan's history.
The museum displays 80 of the late King's cars and motorcycles, some dating as back as 1909. Standing inpristine condition, each vehicle tells a unique story along the timeline of the late King's life.
Royal Tank Museum
The Royal Tank Museum is a national museum with international standards, located in Amman, is considered the first specialized tank museum in the region, displaying more than 150 tanks within a 20,000 sqm. The museum offers a great family experience for Jordanians and visitors of Jordan where they can enjoy the visit and use our interactive story telling exhibition tools.
Darat Al Funun
Jordanian, Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese families built the houses that form Darat al Funun. They are a living memory of the history of Jordan and the shared history of the Bilad al Sham. Darat al Funun today is an oasis for the arts overlooking the crowded downtown area of the old city of Amman. Along with visiting our contemporary art exhibitions, many come to admire Amman’s traditional architecture, attend events in the archaeological site, read a book in our art library, or take a walk in the gardens.
Amman Panorama Art Gallery
In this renovated house, Amman Panorama Art Gallery reflects the city's cultural and artistic heritage and spread the fragrant of the Jordanian art and paintings through Impressionism and abstraction, as well as fine art paintings and engravings on camel bone! Amman Panorama Art Gallery showrooms also contain ceramics formed by Jordanian artists in various forms, which highlighted the skill and superiority of local ceramic art, which is similar to and even surpasses the production of many craftsmen of the world.
