MADABA
After breakfast leave from Amman 30kms to the Mosaic city of Madaba, visit Saint George Church to view the biggest Mosaic map of the Holly Land ages back to. Enjoy a free time in the old bazaar streets of Madaba.
MOUNT NEBO
Drive from Madaba to visit Mount Nebo where prophet Moses was shown the Promised Land before he died. Enjoy the view of Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the top of the mountain. Visit the Cathedral and enjoy the Mosaics covering its floors.
MUJIB VALLEY
KARAK CASTLE
Drive through the Kings Highway to one of the best views on the route, Mujib Valley Panorama view point.
Wadi Mujib was once known as the Arnon Valley which is believed to be the destination where Moses led the Israelites across.
Continue the road to visit Karak Castle, this fantastic Crusader stronghold, and later Mamluk fortress, is the reason to visit Karak. Throughout the castle, boards give detailed descriptions of the history and function of particular structures. Reconstruction and excavation work is ongoing: bring a torch (flashlight) to explore the darker regions, and watch your head on low doorways.
